Hi, I’m Elthon Jhon Bagay, a graphic designer and photo retoucher who finds joy in turning simple images into something clean, polished, and full of life.

My journey started back in Guimaras, where I grew up surrounded by simplicity and creativity. I’ve always been drawn to visual, the way colors blend, how light changes everything, and how a small detail can transform an entire picture. That curiosity eventually led me to study Programming and Visual Graphic Design at the Talon Dos Institute of Technology, where I learned how to mix creativity with precision.

My first job was at TeT Production, a small but busy print shop in Las Piñas. I did a bit of everything, designing tarpaulins, shirts, mugs, event layouts, even operating the machines myself. It taught me the value of hard work, multitasking, and making sure every piece I made felt personal and well-crafted.

In 2018, I joined Velocity Made Good | Hearst as a Junior Graphics Operator. That’s where I really started honing my skills in photo retouching and editing. I worked on architectural and lifestyle photos, cleaning surfaces, fixing glare, adjusting colors, and preparing them for publication. Every project was a challenge to bring out the best in every image while keeping it natural.

Now, I work as a Senior Analyst at eClerx Philippines for Theory, where I handle high-end fashion and commercial retouching. I manage bulk image uploads, perform quality control, and make sure everything we deliver meets professional and creative standards. I edit hundreds of images a day, each one treated with the same care and attention to detail.

Over the years, I’ve learned that retouching isn’t just about making something “look better.” It’s about preserving the essence, the fabric’s texture, the natural skin, the emotion behind the shot. Every image has a story, and my job is to help tell it clearly and beautifully.

Outside of work, I’m just someone who enjoys quiet moments, a hot chocolate on a calm morning, a good meal like adobo, or helping others whenever I can. I find meaning in simple things, and maybe that’s what guides how I work, keeping things honest, clean, and real.
